24.6.2023. imali smo čast prisustvovati humanitarnom događaju u organizaciji firme Palfinger, u njhovu sjedištu u Bergheimu pored Salzburga u Austriji.
Imali smo čast razgovarati s CFO-om firme Palfinger, g. Felixom Strohbichlerom o samom događaju, važnosti sponzora za sportaše te benefitima sponzorstva za firme.
Palfinger je tvrtka koja se bavi proizvodnjom kranova i drugih građevinskih strojeva. Sjedište je u Bergheimu u Austriji, no imaju proizvodne pogone po cijelom svijetu, uključujući i proizvodnju u Delnicama, u Hrvatskoj.

Charity event at Palfinger
On 24th June PALFINGER AG, the world’s leading producer and provider of innovative crane and lifting solutions, hosted an event called “Sportwagenausfahrt”, at their headquarters in Bergheim next to Salzburg, in Austria.
The event had a humanitarian purpose – to put a smile on children’s faces, and to help the local Children’s Cancer Foundation “Salzburger Kinderkrebshilfe” with a financial support. In addition, PALFINGER organized a children’s party, including:
- Sports cars
- Police officers and dogs
- Magician
- Olympic athlete Tin Srbić
- Zip line
- PALFINGER cranes
- and a lot more.
followed by a sports car trip, with over 90 world’s best sports cars.
During this event we had a privilege to talk to the CFO of PALFINGER, Mr. Felix Strohbichler, who revealed to us a little bit more about the background of this event.
“For almost 20 years, PALFINGER has been hosting this beautiful event, to support the local Children’s Cancer Foundation. It is a matter of the heart for us, to help those who need it”, says Felix Strohbichler.
The importance of sponsors for athletes
Further on, we asked Mr. Strohbichler “Why did PALFINGER start sponsoring athletes?”
“PALFINGER is a global company, with production sites in the whole world, focusing on high quality products. With that in mind, we are also looking for high performance world class athletes who will represent our company in the way that we want us to be represented.”
Mr. Strohbichler also added that “sponsored athletes are also like people that work in the company. They are the faces of the company and are sharing the word about it.”
One important fact, PALFINGER is sponsoring a lot of Austrian athletes, mostly ski racers, but recently
their new athlete is Croatian gymnast Tin Srbić.
So we were curious “Why do you think sponsors are important for athletes?”
“Well, in the career of every athlete, in order to get to the top level and achieve big success, it requires a lot of investment of not only time and energy, but also money. Every support is important and helpful, so we believe that every little bit of help is mportant and useful.”
Advice for the readers
At the end, we wanted to use the chance to ask Mr. Strohbichler for some advice for all of our readers, as he is very experienced.
“First of all, you have to be clear about what you want to achieve. You have to know exactly what that is. And then, it is important to be consistent and dedicated to everyday work. With that combination, you can achieve anything.”
